HIOKI Impedance Analyzer
An impedance analyser is a type of electronic test equipment used to measure complex electrical impedance as a function of test frequency. With this new IM3570 Impedance Analyser, an LCR meter and an impedance analyser capable of measurement frequencies of 4 Hz to 5 MHz and test signal levels of 5 mV to 5 V have been combined into one measuring instrument. Advanced capabilities include LCR measurement with AC signals, resistance measurement with direct current ( Rdc), and sweep measurement which continuously changes the measurement frequency and measurement level.

We have the Particle Analyser Litesizer 500 instrument for characterizing particles in liquid dispersions. It is used for the measurement of particle size, zeta potential, molecular mass, transmittance and refractive index. Size measurement is determined by dynamic light scattering technique. It can be performed for the samples in the range of 0.3 nm -10 µm, with concentration limits between 0.1 mg/mL, minimum sample volumes between 12uL and temperature control range between 0 and 90 °C. Particles size measurements can be done at 15°, 90° and 175° depending on the concentration of the sample.
Charge on the surface of particles can be determined by measuring the zeta potential of a suspension by electrophoresis light scattering technique in the range of > ±1000 mV, minimum sample volume 50µl for electrode cell and temperature control range between 0 and 90 °C. This instrument can be used for the measurement of molecular mass in the range of 980Da– 20MDa by static light scattering. Also, this instrument can be used to measure transmittance, minimum sample volume 15uL and refractive index in the range of 1.28- 1.50 minimum sample volume 1mL

Normally a small amount of coating material is applied on the centre of the substrate, which is either spinning at low speed or not spinning at all.
