Museum

The Department of Zoology maintains an excellent museum with many non chordate and chordate bottled and stuffed specimens. We have a good collection of several animal species belonging to different animal phyla with a few rare specimens. Occasionally we conduct Exhibition of Museum Specimens’ for students of nearby schools to instil an interest in animal science and inculcate in them a love for fellow beings. This gives an opportunity for our undergraduate students also to improve their knowledge on various animals as they are assigned to explain the characteristic features of the specimens exhibited. Students from various departments of Bharata Mata College visit our museum once in a while.
