The Department of English conducted its annual intercollegiate fest for a cause, Chrysalis'23, on 17 February 2023.This year, Chrysalis associated with Solace, a social organization working for children with long term illnesses.
Chrysalis had an overall prize money of 1 lakhs. 300 participants from over 40 colleges throughout Kerala took part in various competitions. Emergio Games was the title sponsor of the event. S.H. College, Thevara won the ever-rolling trophy for the top scorers and St.Albert's College, Ernakulam were the runners-up.
The valedictory function was attended by Rev.Dr.Abraham Oliapurath (Manager, BMC), Dr.K.M. Johnson (Principal, BMC), Dr. Thara Gangadharan (HoD, English), Ms. Smitha Elizabeth George (Convenor, Chrysalis),
Dr. Laly Mathew (former HoD), Ms. Lissy Kachappilly and Ms. Bini Rani Jose (Vice principals). The event concluded with a live performance of the music band Barre Chord.
