A one day workshop on The Mechanics of Academic Writing was organized by the PG Department of English, Bharata Mata College, Thrikkakara on Friday, 2 November,2018. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Kishore Ram, Post Doctoral, Department of English, MMNSS College, Kottiyam. The discourse initiated the students to various literary theories and its application to literary texts. An orientation on how to present and publish papers in academic journals was also part of the transactions done. Dr. Laly Mathew, Former Vice Principal and HOD, Department of English, Bharata Mata College, Thrikkakara encouraged the students to read texts with a whole new perspective which could be helpful in their academic writings. She concluded by mentioning the nuances of writing an ideal PG project. The workshop aims at producing maximum number of research publications in academic journals and publications by the participants. Around eighty students benefitted from the programme.
