The United Nations designated World Pulses Day is observed every year on 10 February, recognizing pulses' importance as a global food. In association with World Pulses Day 2023 on 20th February 2023, the Department of Botany organized a Pulses exhibition with the theme “Pulses to empower youth in achieving sustainable agrifood systems” near the enquiry of BMC. Various pulses were displayed with their scientific names, common names and use. Students also displayed artworks using pulses and did chart works showing the history, theme and economic benefits of pulses. Food outlets with a variety of mouthwatering homemade delicious dishes made up of pulses attracted everyone alike. Seeds of peas were distributed among the college community. Students also had a shared lunch with various dishes made up of pulses
